As a slightly crazy (no I’m not ashamed to admit this) spaniel owner, you can imagine the look of delight on my face when Sophie Allport launched their new bedding range including the wonderful ‘Woof’ design! What made life even more exciting was the launch of the ‘Spaniel’ range too!
Although the ‘Spaniel’ range hasn’t extended to human bedding, there are LOTS of gorgeous spoils for the dogs and humans to be had, including two types of dog bed and kitchen accessories! In 2007, Sophie and her brother Jem launched what I can only describe as my favourite homewares brand ever! From chickens to bees, hares to horses and more recently dogs and spaniels.
So let’s have a look at a selection of my favourite products from the ‘Woof and Spaniel’ designs.
1) Woof Bedding Set
I’m not sure anything on earth can beat the feeling of crisp cotton bedding as you snuggle down to sleep. Featuring adorable spaniels, labradors, pugs, terriers and dachshunds against a neutral beige back ground. The other side of the bedding is a lovely stripe in the same beige and white colour.
Boasting a 200 thread count percale in 100% cotton the bedding is soft and luxurious but still machine washable. Each set (except the single) has two Oxford pillowcases and a duvet cover. I love the cute button fastening at the bottom which adds a little something different and is certainly classier than plain old poppers!
2) Spaniel Pet Bed Mattress
I’m sure the dogs will agree if I have new bedding, it is only fair they have a new bed too. What could be more perfect than a bed for spaniels covered in spaniels! Part of the brand new range to Sophie Allport, the bed is adorned in cheeky working cockers, sophisticated springers and classy cavaliers on a beautiful moss coloured background.
Available in two sizes, you will be sure to find the perfect size for lounging hounds or snuggle buddies to share. The bed has sensibly has a water and stain resistant finish but also has a removable cover that can be popped on a 30 degree cycle to freshen up and remove any paw prints from days spent exploring!
3) Spaniels Mug & Tea Towel
After a hard day at work (or maybe even in work) what could be better than your hot drink in a mug covered in spaniels! Another product in the ‘Spaniels’ range the mug is made in fine bone china and has the benefit of being dishwasher and microwave safe. It’s the perfect gift for any spaniel owner or even as a treat for yourself!
The mugs – like all in the Sophie Allport ranges – come in two sizes Standard (275ml) and large (425ml) and have the word ‘Fetch’ written inside waiting to be revealed when you drink! Once you have finished why not hand wash and dry your mug with the equally adorable spaniel tea towel! Using the same 100% cotton, moss coloured print as the mattress, the tea towel is a great addition to the kitchen and combined with more products in the range, can create a beautiful theme in your kitchen or utility room!
4) Woof Boot Bag
Despite owning three mud loving, water obsessed spaniels – I do try to keep my car clean inside and with the requirement for wellies on walks all year round the Woof boot bag is PERFECT for containing wet and dirty boots in the car and on our adventures!
The double zip makes it easy to pop boots in and out without smearing mud and dirt everywhere! The Water resistant lining stops any damp leaking through to the outside and the oilcloth outer is easy to wipe down and keep clean.
5) Pheasant Rope Toy & Pheasant
What discerning dog wouldn’t want their very own pheasants?! Inspired by the majestic birds frequently seen on country walks and adventures there are two to choose from!
The first is a fun and vibrantly coloured rope toy. It has rope legs and a tough hessian style fabric body with a squeaker perfectly positioned to provide endless hours of fun! The second is made from the stunning pheasant fabric, cleverly designed in the shape of a pheasant with a long felt tail that crackles! The head squeaks and the body has a tennis ball hidden inside which makes this bird ideal to throw and play catch with!
6) Woof Treat Tin
Finally my list concludes with the all-important treat tin! Our dogs are always ready for a bedtime biscuit or a training treat for mastering a new trick and the Treat Tin is ideal for storing all of their tasty snacks! It is 100% galvanised steel and can store either dry food or treats. It looks beautiful in our kitchen and the dogs already know where to sit in eager anticipation of a tasty morsel!
